What’s Included With Every Store

A managed online store with payments and shipping set up, ongoing product and content updates, and security handled for you.

Payment Gateways

PayFast, PayPal, NetCash and Yoco connect through their official, vendor-supported store integrations, which we set up and maintain as part of your build, for once-off and recurring payments.

Shipping Integrations

Aramex, The Courier Guy and Pargo connect through their official, vendor-supported store integrations, which we set up and maintain as part of your build, to calculate delivery rates at checkout.

Product Maintenance

We load and update your products for you, so your catalogue stays current without you touching the back end.

Content Updates

Every plan includes monthly time for content changes to your store, done on request.

Security & Maintenance

We keep the platform patched and the store secured, and handle server and site maintenance for you.

Grows With You

Move up the plan ladder for more products, pages and resources as your store grows.

Hosting Technologies

Industry-standard hosting infrastructure tuned for transactional online stores.

WHM & cPanel

Access your store’s email, domains and settings through cPanel, while we manage the server.

LiteSpeed Web Server

A faster web server that keeps pages responsive as traffic rises.

CloudLinux

Each account gets its own CPU and memory limits, so a busy neighbour can’t slow your store.

MariaDB

The database that powers your catalogue, orders and customer accounts.

Object Cache

In-memory caching that speeds up repeat queries on busy store pages.

Imunify360

Malware scanning and a web application firewall, watching the server around the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Product counts are based on the number of SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) loaded into your store. Regular product maintenance, including additions, updates, and visual alterations, is not counted against your monthly update time quota, as long as requests remain reasonable for your service level.
Content updates apply to general content, not product maintenance. We don’t limit the number of updates or posts submitted for News / Blog pages, but the work consumes your monthly allocated update time. Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and News / Blog pages are included as standard outside your page-count quota; the content for these pages must be provided to sparrowhawk.cloud. We do not offer legal advice for Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy content.
No. The service is month-to-month, with no long-term contract. Your store stays live and maintained for as long as your account is up to date, and you can change or cancel your plan as your needs change.
eCommerce as a service means we build, host and maintain your online store for a monthly fee, instead of a single large upfront build. The plan covers the initial store design plus ongoing hosting, maintenance, product loading and a set amount of update time each month. It suits micro and small businesses that want to sell online without running the store’s technology themselves.
Yes. For a one-time fee, based on the complexity and customisation of your setup, you can own your store outright. The purchase covers your custom design, content and standard functionality. Development that forms part of our standard service, along with proprietary sparrowhawk.cloud integrations, stays our intellectual property and is not transferable.
Most needs are covered by the package price. Work beyond your monthly update time, or custom functions and coding, can carry additional fees. We quote any extra costs before starting the work, so nothing is charged without your go-ahead.
The timeline depends on our current workload, how quickly we receive your content and information, and how fast feedback moves between us. We will give you a clearer estimate once we know the scope of your store.
Yes. Every store is built responsively, so it adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
Each eCommerce package includes a co.za domain. If you already own a domain you would like to use instead, we can point that to your new store.
No. Your monthly update time is for use within that month and does not roll over. This keeps updates regular rather than saved up in a single batch.
The packages suit micro and small businesses, particularly those without in-house web staff. That ranges from small catalogues for service businesses to larger B2C and B2B stores.
For eCommerce or web design work in insurance, healthcare, finance, or the management of client funds, we require proof of your business registration and confirmation that you are registered with the relevant industry regulatory body.
Alongside SSL, every store sits behind a web application firewall with real-time malware detection, and traffic is filtered before it reaches your site. Accounts are isolated from each other, and security settings are reviewed and updated as new vulnerabilities appear.
